Bio

Mohamed Blaize is a Partner and the Managing Director of the Firm to lead the management and strategic direction of the firm across the Middle East and North Africa. He is a skilled attorney with several leading law firms in association with international firms, and long track record in the legal field, PQE (+20) years, he has obtained numerous clients over the years and demonstrably high knowledge in law where he focuses on Complex Litigation & White Collar, He is one of leading foreign lawyers in the Kingdom who has been practicing law since 2003 and has witnessed the judicial development of the legal system and procedures for nearly two decades.

He has a wide breadth of legal experience with particular focus in litigation. He has gained vast experienced by handling some of the significant high profile and value litigations in the Kingdom relating to government sectors and PIF companies which has led him to pursue his PHD Doctorate program specializing in government disputes.

Mr. Blaize advises in corporate governance and wide range of Turnkey Contracts such as build-operate-transfer (BOT), and build–own–operate–transfer (BOOT). He has also earned his special academic qualifications in Privatization Law from in France and UK, and he is a proficient advisor in Public Private Partnership arena. Recently he has advised and guided National Centre for Privatization (NCP) in Riyadh for a landmark privatization project relating to comprehensive rehabilitation.

  • Providing advice on governance and amending the internal rules of the internal committees of a joint-stock company its capital exceeds one billion dollars.
  • Advising on a wide range of Turnkey contracts used on large-scale contracting projects, such as: Build, Operate and Transfer (B.O.T), Build, Operate, Owns and Transfer (B.O.O.T)
  • A Team member in the project of comprehensive rehabilitation center between Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) and NCP and Advising on the privatization Saudi law draft and the need to formulate competition policies in order to avoid monopoly practices, and other PPP files.
  • Advising on income Taxes matters and cases for international oil companies $200m
  • Successfully handled a case for a major Saudi metals conglomerate (PIF) Company against a contractor for the breach of a SAR300m construction contract
  • Successfully defended a large robotics and heavy electrical equipment manufacturing company in anti-trust proceedings before the appellate competition tribunal and the public prosecution involving the bidding in a project SAR 400-million.
  • Successfully defended a major contracting company against claims by an industrial city in Saudi Arabia totaling SAR300m for alleged delayed works in an ICC arbitration.
  • Successfully defended a passenger aircraft manufacturer against claims from a local company that a partnership had formed.
  • Successfully defended a multinational food company against claims for damages under a commercial agency agreement for the amount of SAR150m
  • Successfully defended a major petrochemical company against alleged environmental law violations by government authorities seeking suspension and fines.
  • Successfully defended client in criminal allegations of money laundry involving purchase of for $200m aircraft
  • Successfully handled a case for a major sports club player against his sports club for SR14m unpaid compensation
